what can i say about todays game???? a worrying thought and panic after own goal by Mr K. the game was pretty much anyones both sides at it like rapid dogs… then a equaliser from van persie, then on 90th minute another goal by van persie so a win. smiles painted back on my face. but again the curse of the injury strikes arsenal again. i swear someone has cursed arsenal. arteta knocked out cold. stretched off, reports say he is ok. still cant believe the own goal. but we won thats the main thing right???????? and what is going on with chelsea losing 1-0 to west brom? is their going to be another manager exodus. it seems the curse has shifted to chelsea. which is a shame cos chelsea is a good team. but this is football. its the way isnt it? you can be be an amazing team but still lose against lower league teams. well at least chelsea supporters cant get all arrogant and tease the arsenal fans i suppose. but i hope they find their form soon. i’m not one to brag or laugh at another team playing badly (well ok cept if it was manchester United) cant always be a good boy πŸ™‚ i’m not sure though i still reckon the chelsea fans need to stick by Andre Villa Boas… or maybe he just doesnt fit well with chelsea? or the gossip is true and the older players at chelsea are being selfish and damaging the team from within who knows? it just seems this season has been a strange one for a few teams as with arsenal granted its been a long while since we won a trohpy. but we normally play well, do pretty well in champions league finish 4th with no trouble. but we had a horrendous start which we are never able to forget cos it is always brought up again and again. just got to be supportive no matter what. so i would also suggest that to any chelsea fan. manager is young. and well chelsea have suffered through the various managers.

but another good result for arsenal…. keep it up… well obviously hoping for better performances less own goals and more fantastic goals please…..

well it appears that Lukas Podolski has agreed personal terms with arsenal so we could see him joining the gunners in the summer, but as usual a pinch of salt, even though the rumor does seem to have truth to it. so a good start. though unfortanatly their has been nothing on Hazard, so still that unsurity if wenger will make a play for him in the summer, though would be a huge mistake if wenger didnt try. as well all know, if we dont try this summer, liverpool, spurs or another team will grab him. after the great win at tottenham. which for me made me jump around the room like a child high on sweets πŸ™‚ and news that van persie could be ready to start talking about his contract delcaring he is a true gunner. is good news. with Arshavin gone on loan. and Rosicky playing a fab game which proves he is still a good player who i believe we should keep along with walcott. we’ve also been linked with Montpellier goal scorer Olivier Giroud.also a funny rumor of a swap deal with chelsea walcott for Daniel Sturridge another one of those crazies i do love them ones. though we are apparently keeping an eye on his situation. so maybe the summer will herald good news for us gunners. from under the bewildered stars may form a light upon us and the new stars of the future may wear an arsenal shirt πŸ™‚ will just have to wait and see

RISE OF A GUNNER

Posted: February 23, 2012 in arsenal

i will be honest though have supported arsenal since i was ten years old, only recently has my passion for arsenal got stronger. only ever been to one game, which was back in the time we where at highbury, and Paul merson and Tony Adams where around. i remember the feeling, the emotions that surrounded me, as i sat with my cousin, who was an avid arsenal fan. now saying that only recently have i become passionate about arsenal doesnt mean that i just supported arsenal but didnt really bother. i used to know every player in the team (obviously not personally) sad to say but i was a man u fan at first but please forgive me i was eight years old at the time, i was foolish πŸ™‚ funny thing is i watched a game and a man u player scored a own goal, and i thought what??? then i saw arsenal play and then i was a convert. and have never looked back since. the red and white shirt. Merson, Adams…. Henry…. Llunjberg…. Pires… Petit…. Fabregas….. Van Perise. amongst the few arsenal players of the then and now. i get asked a lot (mainly by a man u supporter) How i can still support arsenal? my reply as always is that i am loyal to my team. arsenal is the team i loved since growing up, yes we havent won a trophy in years, and yes this season has been hell. but you support a team through the good and the bad, you dont just leave when they play bad. problem with being a fan is the frustration, cos you can’t understand the choices the manager makes… like when we where linked with Juan mata. why didnt wenger try harder? amongst other questions. but spose it all has to be taken on faith. with a addition of one or two high class players, i think arsenal will be back in the front of things. two players being Hazard,,,, Goetze, wishful thinking probably. but live in hope.

a matter for the reserves

Posted: February 23, 2012 in arsenal

watched the highlights of the reserves game against Norwich, and got to be honest it just didnt look right seeing arshavin, chamakh, park, bennayoun in the team, looked like a group of adults playing football with a group of youths. and ignoring the embaressment it must be on arshavin, granted i think bennayoun had asked to play in the reserve game. it just didnt quite look right. but hey, maybe it’ll bring something out of them. with the spurs game coming up which is an important game, and i cant wait to the summer transfer window. just want to see if wenger does go for Hazard,

More heartache that breaks the sky

Posted: February 20, 2012 in arsenal

Well more heartache, things are not good; my mind wont let me talk about it; all i can hope is that we move forward. A win against tottenham would be good for us. Also news that may excite fans. That eden hazard has said his preferred choice would be arsenal so lets hope that wenger goes him in the summer.
Now i’m going to talk about chelsea. Why? Well was reading a article by paul parker on the eurosport website.
Another team chelsea are on the decline, maybe not a huge one. It appears that some of the older team are not helping the matters with AVB. I must add if this is true; it is a selfish act on their part. Villa-boas is young much like new players need time to gel. Chelsea need to push forward…. Though am an arsenal fan do like chelsea.
Also a rumor i heard that David moye’s may leave everton i hope this doesnt happen he is a good manager.

an uncertain mist that clouds the way

Posted: February 17, 2012 in arsenal

uncertain times are here… with the 4-0 thrashing being our worst ever loss away in the champion league, where do we go now? hopefully forward and not backwards. though in the summer i do expect wenger to do some digging, cos surely he can’t afford to be tight. we need more players. with the news Manchester United are trying to get Mario Gotze, and Eden Hazard possibly making to move to tottenham. hopefully nothing but rumors. i would love to see hazard at arsenal. yes i know i’ve been saying this for a long time. but i think hazard would fit in well at arsenal he’s the kind of player we need. also hoping Rosicky stays at arsenal. he is still a good player, i like him the way he plays. granted he doesnt score goals. but like Arshavin he does some good assists. and Rosicky always plays hard in the midfield. and am glad to see Oxlaide chamberlain has been given a good run of games. though am slightly annoyed that as of yet park hasnt been given a chance, to be honest i see him leaving in the summer. what player wants to join a team and not get played. i’m not saying Park is the best player in the world. but seen him play he is pretty good. and surely he needs a chance to shine or not. with wenger deciding to loan out Miyaichi again, Joel Campbell is still on loan so as of yet we will not be able to see if he was a good signing or not. wouldnt mind seeing Henri Lansbury back in a arsenal shirt as well, the fear is that with the current mentality after such a bad game will continue to break away at the team. with the game against sunderlan coming up. and the north london derby against Tottenham. as ive said time and time again it is a worrying time to be an arsenal fan. running out of excuses. we need to push stronger now, change our game a bit. be aggressive in our attacking and strong in our defence. we need that winning mentality. not to say we don’t nor to say that the arsenal players are not pasionate or don’t care and cant be bothered. but we need to strike now. we can’t keep playing like this. what frustrates me the most is i love the way arsenal play play a beautiful game. just lack the finishing that would make us such a great team. (though to me arsenal are a great team) arsenal is a team i have grown up with. though only been to one game. so not really sure how you judge if a fan is a true fan. but arsenal is in my heart. and no matter how many take the mick out of arsenal. i just don’t care. i am a gunner till the end…. so say we all (sorry watched battlestar galactica last night) πŸ™‚ but the summer transfer window i reckon will be a good one. full of movement. though on arsenals window i’m not sure. if wenger will splash out or not. cos i dont see him getting lucky again like the last one. needs big names. wenger got very lucky with oxlaide chamberlain and arteta. mertesacker is improving, santos looks good but dont think he’s being played in his right position. but i’m not a manager or ex player or football expert. though you do catch me watching the game shouting do this why you do that… πŸ™‚ and you have to wonder if Wenger will take Bennayoun on a permanent basis or not???

Heartbreak In Milan

Posted: February 16, 2012 in arsenal

wasnt sure what to make of the match before it started; where we going to win or where we going to lose, 1-0. nothing prepared me for what happened next. wish i could make excuses like it was the pitches fault. the referee ruined it for us. but was not so. milan played the better game, we where outclassed. though some good tries by Van perise, but just wasn’t enough. in sat on tender hooks; but i just felt myself fall ever so deeply in dissapointment, and thenΒ Laurent Koscielny had to come off, that was a bad sign. not to say we could have won if he was still on the pitch. but it may not have been 4-0 or it may have been. and what an end to thierry henry’s stay at arsenal. but to me it hadnt tarnished his name in any way or ruined his return. i think i say this along with many fans that thank you henry. now what worries me is that this will shatter our confidence. as a fan you do question choices made by a manager, like maybe oxlaide chamberlain should have started. but you can’t second guess the manager. cos you dont know how a match will end.it was a tough match. and just got to hope we get past it.

A walk in the park

Posted: February 9, 2012 in arsenal

A question arises in my mind; the current situation with park; now why did wenger sign him only not to actually play him? Not saying he should play in every game. Their are words flying about that park was more of a PR stunt to boost their asian fans. But i dont believe that and if that is true i find that totally unfair as he was close to signing with Lilie before we signed him. I dont think he’s been given a chance and would be sad to see him go in the summer if the rumors are true.

the end of transfernia part one

Posted: January 31, 2012 in arsenal

well it seems wenger told a white lie in saying he wont be signing anybody as a deal has been made for the signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Eisfeld, a 19 year old, Eisfeld has scored six goals and claimed six assists for Dortmund’s Under-19 team this season. Eisfeld has said on his transfer to arsenal “It’s a real honour to be team mates with the great players at Arsenal, and also training everyday with players like Tomas Rosicky – who I grew up watching play at Dortmund. I will give it everything I have here and do my best to make the manager, players and fans happy”

it is still unclear if he’ll start straight away or go on loan first like Joel Campbell. the transfer window closes at eleven PM. not really expecting any more incomings into the emirates; though i am hopeful that maybe a few surprises, but too be honest arsenal have been very quiet, and this is not a surprise as the news came yesterday. so its pretty much a waiting game to see if anything else happens. i’m just hoping its a good signing.
