i will be honest though have supported arsenal since i was ten years old, only recently has my passion for arsenal got stronger. only ever been to one game, which was back in the time we where at highbury, and Paul merson and Tony Adams where around. i remember the feeling, the emotions that surrounded me, as i sat with my cousin, who was an avid arsenal fan. now saying that only recently have i become passionate about arsenal doesnt mean that i just supported arsenal but didnt really bother. i used to know every player in the team (obviously not personally) sad to say but i was a man u fan at first but please forgive me i was eight years old at the time, i was foolish π funny thing is i watched a game and a man u player scored a own goal, and i thought what??? then i saw arsenal play and then i was a convert. and have never looked back since. the red and white shirt. Merson, Adams…. Henry…. Llunjberg…. Pires… Petit…. Fabregas….. Van Perise. amongst the few arsenal players of the then and now. i get asked a lot (mainly by a man u supporter) How i can still support arsenal? my reply as always is that i am loyal to my team. arsenal is the team i loved since growing up, yes we havent won a trophy in years, and yes this season has been hell. but you support a team through the good and the bad, you dont just leave when they play bad. problem with being a fan is the frustration, cos you can’t understand the choices the manager makes… like when we where linked with Juan mata. why didnt wenger try harder? amongst other questions. but spose it all has to be taken on faith. with a addition of one or two high class players, i think arsenal will be back in the front of things. two players being Hazard,,,, Goetze, wishful thinking probably. but live in hope.
